Going through the change with optimism? Not only…

Today in our 7h issue of the podcast I talk with Gonca Artunkal, CEO of UBS Turkey.

We talk about the ability to positively respond to changes, which might not seem as changes to the better at a first glance.

By listening to the podcast you’ll find out that:

  • When escaping might be an option if you’re not comfortable with the situation
  • What is the mantra, the conscious choice that Gonca is applying while going through unpleasant changes
  • What helps to stay positive during an uncertain situation in the country or economy that anyone of us can’t really change
  • How faith in yourself helps in challenging times

Gonca’s comforting thought that “This will pass, and we all will be all right” might sound very simple, but it works for me as well.

Gonca is from Turkey. She is a graduate of Oglethorpe University in Atlanta and holds two Masters Degrees from London School of Economics and Bosphorus University. She has been in the banking sector for 26 years, during which she has worked in London most of the time. Her career has mostly focused on M&A investment banking coverage, corporate banking, and capital markets. She has worked for a number of international banks including Chase Manhattan, Morgan Stanley,  Citi and UBS. She was awarded as the best female banker in Turkey by Dunya newspaper.

She is married with one son. She is passionately supporting Women Leadership Initiatives, helping women to advance not only in the banking sector but also in the workforce in general and specifically to the managerial position.

Podcast duration is 16 min.
